Birch Creek is a small, perennial stream on the east side of the Toiyabe Range, 12 miles south of Austin. Birch Creek courses through its east-flowing namesake canyon from Arc Dome into the Big Smoky Valley. Birch is by no means a large stream, but its year-round flow provides ample quantities for a fair population of wild Rainbow Trout.
